The Stiffs FC 1 Holt FC 7
Playing away from their St Mary’s base for the first time in many years, The Stiffs FC welcomed Holt FC to their new home at The Beeches, Shaw, but despite taking a lead, Stiffs celebrations were short lived as Holt fought back to claim a 7-1 success.
Holt fell behind to a Sam Robbins own goal which came on 13 minutes, but on the half hour mark, parity was restored courtesy of Jacob Nsirim who benefitted from a first assist of the afternoon from Adam Welch. Welch was on hand again in the 43rd minute when he set up Robbie Tripp to give Holt a 2-1 interval lead.
Holt extended their lead on 53 minutes, Robbie Tripp assisted Jacob Nsirim to his second of the game. 3 minutes later it was the turn of Nsirim to turn provider, Kieran Plummer turning home to make it 4-1.
Kieran Plummer and Frank Dunn combined for Holt’s fifth, Dunn netting on 74 minute. Jordan Smith who came off the bench was on hand to make it 6-1 on 84 minutes, Adam Welch setting him up to claim a hat trick of assists.
The final goal of the game came in the 89th minute, Harrision Fitzsimons getting on the end of a Jordan Smith delivery to wrap things up at 7-1. ย
