FC Devizes United 4 Holt FC 2
A&B Cup finalists FC Devizes United who had to settle for a share of the points when they visited Holt FC earlier in the season, picked up maximum points in the home fixture, thanks to a 4-2 win, which has seen them leapfrog their opponents and into fourth place in the standings and has given them the perfect preparation ahead of their Knockout Cup semi-final with Melksham Town Development next week.
Kieran Plummer’s goal on 2 minutes saw Holt get of to a great start, however his goal was cancelled out on 5 minutes when Declan McStravick netted to make it 1 each.
Goals for Oscar Webster and a second McStravick effort a few minutes prior to half time, put the hosts firmly in control of things.
Kieran Plummer scored his second of the afternoon in the 62nd minute to halve the Holt deficit, but any hopes of a revival for Nigel Tripp’s side ended when 10 minutes later Charlie Strickland wrapped up all 3 points for James Stobbart’s hosts.
