Holt FC 2 FC Devizes United 2
FC Devizes Unitedย were another side who had made a sluggish start, before a 6-1 victory over Heytesbury & Codford and a last weeks 3-0 triumph over the previously unbeaten Hilperton Greyhound.
Standing in the way of Devizes claiming a hat trick of wins on the road were Holt FC who it would be fair to say haven’t hit top gear yet this season, however despite overturning a two-goal deficit, Devizes had to settle for a point as Holt after conceding a late equaliser to hold on for a 2-2 draw.
After a goalless first half Holt stunned their visitors by taking a 2-0 lead in side a minute. Harry Dunn opened the scoring on 57minutes from a Sam Robbins assist and almost immediately Dunn made his mark again as he doubled the hosts margin.
Devizes got themselves back in the game in the 78th minutes when Kian Fulford reduced the arrears when he slotted home from the penalty spot.
With time running out Devizes looked as if they had been Dunn over but for the second time they were awarded a free kick which James Stobart converted to restore parity for the visitors who were happy to leave Holt with a share of the spoils from a match they looked as if they were going to lose with just 15 minutes remaining.
